Chris Eatough and Jeff Schalk break their derailleurs

five minutes into the race, Chris Eatough and Jeff Schalk (Team Trek/VW) tried to pass on singletrack in a hay field. Both of them ripped their rear derailleurs clean off the bike. Chris ran back to the start/finish, Jeff scooted back with no drivetrain.
