Southern Taiwan Trip Day 3

On the third day we stayed at a different hotel in Kaohsiung. Luckily the third day cleared away all the rain so we could go out and explore, we visited the Cijin island and at night we went to Love River and saw some of the restaurants and night time entertainment.

Southern Taiwan Trip Day 1,2

We took the High Speed Train (a Bullet Train) to Kaohsiung. It was raining on Friday and Saturday so we didn't get to do much of anything. We went to see the Hulk movie on Saturday because the hotel exchange our free water park tickets with movie tickets because of the rain. I'm still a little sad we missed out on the water park. I don't think I even took any pictures on the second day.

My Hair Cut by James

James really wanted to cut my hair so he could add me to his hair cut portfoli (a hobby of his). I took a chance and in the end, I ended up with a decent haircut. He sent me his portfolio entry of the haircut he gave me.

Dragonboat Festival

The Dragonboat Festival and a few hotels in Taiwan. We went to see the dragonboat races and then we walked around a few of the 5 star hotels in Tawain. For dinner we went to a famous Japanese resturant.

Haircut

I got my haircut. I told them the standard phrase I tell all my barbers, short (buzzed) on the sides and back, scissors short on the top. They took that and gave it thier own Taiwanese sytled twist on the idea. After I was done they gelled it up and it looked a little different. Its normal now, without the gel, but with the gel is a different story.

Spring Cleaning

Our lab wanted to do some spring cleaning and put down some new carpet. Everyone in my lab came out to help move all the stuff out clean and move everything back into the lab. It was a good afternoons work.
