Image #1 needs to be a square image. Use the "save a copy" feature in Picasa to make a total of 4 copies of this image. After selecting these 4 copies of the same image, then use the grid setting under the collage feature to create a new square image by combining those 4 images.

Image #4 :: Add "text" to this image by using a dingbat font of your choice for some sort of design that will be placed on top of this image you created.
Image #5a :: This image was created using a dingbat "corners" font and enlarging that one image to completely frame two sides of this square. Save a copy of this image, and then open that new saved image in IrfanView and do a horizontal flip and save, and a vertical flip and save, and another horizontal flip and save. Go back to Picasa and you should have 4 images that when collaged together using the grid option will give you Image #6.
