The Silvester Menu and our vino on New Years Eve
Course #1: Salmon Terrine, with winter greens and cream krauter sauce
Course #2: Celery soup (lots of butter in this one). Probably one of the best soups I have ever tasted.
Course #3: St. Peters Fish with pearled vegetables and house made noodles. The red beet sauce was nice.
Course #4: Corn fed chicken with Basmati rice and julienned veggies. The vegetables had thai seasoning and is THE BEST vegetable side I have ever had. The chicken had a lemongrass sauce. Tastey!
Course #5 Dessert: Wild berry ice cream, house made marzipab truffle, vanilla creme mousse, chocolate dipped rosehip, whipped cream and a few drops of a berry reduction to round out the plate.
This drink was terrible, but I thought I'd share it with you as a warning. This was a brandy distilled from the Vogelbeer. Its a small berry that birds eat, but it is poisonous if eaten by humans. Unless you distill it into a brandy. It still tasted like poison, but I survived to write about it.
