Cemetaries
Oaxaca has a huge Dias de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration that runs from October 30- November 2nd. The general population cleans the graves of the relatives and ancestors and decorates them with flowers and their loved ones pictures and favorite things. On the nights of the celebration, they light the candles and sit at the grave side and sing, laugh, and tell stories to remember their dead.
