ROUND ONE WINNER: DUNCAN MOORE: Sturgis Bike Rally, Interstate 90, 2006. Sony Cybershot DSC-F828
ROUND ONE RUNNER-UP: TIM ASTON: Here's a shot I took a few years ago on the Roads around my home town of Tewkesbury. I used a Canon EOS 5 (35mm not digital) and a wide angle lens. The negative was scanned. I have reduced the file size and therefore quality a little to make it easier to email. The bike was mine at the time but I have since sold it. I now ride an Ultra Classic Electra Glide.
ROUND ONE RUNNER-UP: FLATHEAD: This one is called "two legends". It was taken sometime last year at the ace. Fujifilm finepix S5600
TIM ASTON: A shot I took near Gloucester using my Leica R9 and Digital Back. I think it speaks for itself, but the bike is a 2001 Electra Glide Ultra Classic.
TIM ASTON: My Daughter is as keen on the bikes as I am and loves riding pillion. She was quite upset recently when our 883 sportster that I had promised her when she was older was damaged along with our house in the July Floods in Tewkesbury. This shot was on the Lecia R9 with Digital Back and taken at a local country park. Whilst the bike forms a much lesser part of the overall image than the theme, I think it conveys the passion we both feel for the bikes.
TIM ASTON: An image of the Sportster (I bought it on Sarah Janes 14th Birthday) It was taken on the Leica R9 and DMR on my drive. I did convert the image to monochrome but no other work has been carried out on the image.

MICHAEL HOLGATE: My Harley 1200 Sportster above Martigny at the junction of the Forclaz, Simplon and Great Bernard Passes. Photo taken early morning riding solo from Yorkshire to the Matterhorn, September 1993 using Olympus MJU 35mm and scanned.
FLATHEAD: I like the idea of this competition. This picture vas taken in my garage last summer. It's called "Sweet home". Fujifilm finepix S5600
FLATHEAD: This one was taken by the end of the summer 07 at the ace,s harley night. I call it "seein' twice" Fujifilm finepix S5600
FLATHEAD: This is not an altered image (none of my pics are). It was taken the other day at the ace after dark. It is called "when chrome gets blue". Fujifilm finepix S5600
SIMONE RAY: This was taken by Sanna Randelius on the Las Vegas strip in October 2007. I am riding and the photo is taken in the back of my helmet, we were riding an Ultraglide classic at the time. You can clearly see the Mandalay Bay hotel in the background and the other Harleys. It was just a perfect sunny warm day riding a bike in a t-shirt and this picture really captured our trip. It was taken using a Fuji digital SLR, I can't remember the model at the moment.
PETER KIRBY: Taken at Oxford H-D dealership. Canon EOS 20D, 75-300 IS Lens
