Quick recap: the room post water. Walls were cut to avoid mold growth, carpet torn out and Andy & Ali were sad. (Those green things are industrial dehumidifiers).
Stacks of DriCore, a subflooring for basements. We will install this before the carpet gets laid down to help reduce any potential mold growth.
The Before shot: While we're at it, let's fix the entry to the basement. The walls were cracked and run-down. Next to our newly redone mud room, this space looked ghetto.
We got walls! Very exciting! Almost immediately after the walls were finished, we started installing the subflooring. We've completed just over half of the floor here.
Our first glimpse at the new carpet (check out the refinished stairwell too).
We are psyched about the carpet.
Getting everything back in the room and rewired makes me tired. Miles quickly takes advantage of the moment to grab a cuddle.
Back up and running! No accessories yet but all of the furniture and the cabinets are back in and the media room is wired. Oh, happy day.
