Awards Evening 2007

Once a year we try to honour volunteers who have excelled in the service they have given. This year in conjunction with Millenium Volunteers (volunteers 16 to 24 years of age), the evening was held at Newton Regis Village Hall. The Mayor of North Warwickshire, Wendy Smitten, presented the awards, there was also a band and a buffet.

Volunteer Week 2007

Volunteers' Week is celebrated countrywide each year. As part of the celebrations the VCNW held a drop in for a free tea and a cake. The cakes where provided by local business (much appreciated). We attracted 50+ people of whom we got 12 people to sign up to Volunteer!!!!. The Deputy Mayor Ray Payne opened proceedings at the VCNW and helped in St Giles bookshop.

Volunteering Awards 2006

The awards evening was based on WWII project jointly being carried out by the Friends of Atherstone Heritage, Millenium Volunteers, Volunteer Centre North Warwickshire, and financed by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The evening was centred mainly around the volunteers receiving their awards for the services given to the county
