Nike operators

Caricatures of the Nike Hercules IFC operators and the IFC technician (226). All credits go to the maker of these drawings. The photos were most likely taken at Fort Bliss of some copies of the drawings sticked to the wall in 1968. I could not clearly make out the name of the artist (Matlick ?) so i included a sharper image of the signature of the artist. If the maker does not agree with the publishing of these works than let me know and i will remove the files from this site. And if anybody knows the correct name of the artist than please let me know.

Fort Bliss 1968

These pictures were taken during my stay at Fort Bliss from January 1968 till February 1969. I followed the radar/computer technician (226) training at the US Army Air Defense School and was attached to the Allied Student Battalion. Abandoned Nike-Hercules site, Schoppingen, Germany

Pictures of the abandoned Nike-Hercules site in Schoppingen Germany in september 2006. The site was operated by the 220 Squadron of the Royal Netherlands Airforce. Both the Integrated Fire Control (IFC) area and the Launching area (LA) are shown. The site is now in use by a local farmer and also houses civil communication antenae and several power generating windmills.
