Project Africa & Vegetable Garden - 2011
Each Beaver lodge planted a tyre with potatoes, runner beans and a pumpkin in early summer. During the summer term they continued watering the plants on colony nights. Over the summer holidays the plants thrived. When we returned on 8th September everyone went out to check what had happened, and everyone was pleased with what they found. Although it appears only one pumpkin survived the onslaught of the slug :)
