SPC Victor Lara, D Co. 2nd Battalion, 149th General Support Aviation Battalion Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic, single handedly finished Delta Company and 2-149th GSAB unit patch T-barrier paintings at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, early March.
C Co. 2nd Battalion 149th General Support Aviation Battalion held a ceremony to name their MEDEVAC Compound after fallen SPC Heath Pickard, C Co. 1st Battalion 5th Infantry Regiment Automatic Rifleman, who died serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Pickard MEDEVAC Compound Naming Ceremony was held on Joint Base Balad, Iraq on Apr. 20.
