3.) Members of the Newburyport Lions Club pose for a photo with an award for being the number one club in the state for donations to the Massachussetts Lions Eye Research Fund. The award was presented to race director and PDG Jonathanb Pearson at the annual banquet in August. This year the Newburyport Lions also celebrated their 30th year annivesary of their charter and presented past district governor Jane Witherow with a check for $30,280 all for eye research. This club organizes the Yankee Homecoming 10 mile and 5K road race held during the summer in Newburyport.
