My background includes US Air Force photographic laboratory management training as well as comprehensive training at both the Eastman Kodak factory in Rochester, NY and the Agfa-Gavaert factory in Antwerp, Belgium. I managed several major photographic laboratories in the Bay Area during the late 1970s then was Reprogaphics Product Manager for Agfa-Gavaert during the early 1980s before joining the USGS Library staff in 1985. At the USGS Library I manage the historic aerial photo collection, acquire, restore and digitize historic USGS films and videos, provide various reference tasks and help manage the USGS Western Region videostreaming project. I have great expertise with regard to all photographic films, emulsions, processing systems, lenses and light sources. Since 1984 I have been a pioneer in the emerging art form of wedding videography.
