Day 2. We took a rickshaw ride through the bazaars in Chandni Chowk which is a must on any trip to Delhi. This is how many of the locals travel and is a great way to travel through the narrow streets, getting to see how the Indians work day to day in the many bazaars. Day 2. For lunch we visited the impressive Imperial Hotel in New Delhi. The 24 king palm trees that lead from the entrance to the porch are an integral part of the creation of the property. The Imperial is sited on the prestigious Queensway, now renamed "Janpath"-the peoples boulevard. In Lutyens plan for New Delhi, it was conceived as the most luxorious hotel in the city with a uniqueblend of Victorian, colonial and informal Art Deco. The hotel only has 100 hundred rooms and the main attraction of the property is the view of the Taj Mahal from around half of the rooms and definately worth the supplement. The beauty of this magnificent monument is such that it is beyond the scope of words. The thoughts that come into the mind while watching the Taj Mahal of Agra is not just its phenomenal beauty, but the immense love which was the reason behind its construction. Day 8. Meherangarh Fort. The Armoury Gallery displays a rare collection of Armour from every period in Jodhpur. On display are sword hilts in jade, silver, rhine horn, ivory, shields studded with rubies, emeralds and pearls, guns with gold and silver work on barrels. The gallery also has on display personal swords of many an emperor, among them are outstanding historical piece like the Khanda of Rao Jodha, weighing over 7 pounds, the sword of Akbar the Great and The sword of Timur the Lame.

It is a ceremony prevalent in this part of Rajasthan where the youth offers opium to drink mixed with water to the elders of the family when they come back from work in the fields.
