Aviratha Note Book Drive 2010
Aviratha, a Bengalooru based NGO distributed free note books and stationary to children studying in Govt. schools of Gowribidanur taluk on 3rd July 2010. Over 125 members of Aviratha distributed over 50000 books to some 7000 children studying in 60 schools. Few schools in Kolar, Tumkur and Chitradurga districts were also benificiaries. With prior knowledge of requirement, variety of ruled books, graph and drawing books were handed over to every child.
In the current year, the programme was executed in collaboration with India Sudar, a multi state NGO.
Aviratha will also distribute around 5000 books to Govt. schools in Chamrajanagar and Mysore districts in the coming week.
This apart Aviratha has been working in ares of Education, Health, Kannada and art promotion from past 3.5 years through various long term programmes and creative events. We aim to upscale this programme to cove one whole taluk in years to come.
