U. S. Embassy 4th of July Celebration - June 30, 2007
There were 18 people in our two mini-vans, we arrived at the Embassy exactly on time at 2:oo pm, took the pictures below, and left a little after 5:00 PM. There were food stalls with Hot dogs, hamburgers, Mexican food, poliish sausages, and a variety of American beers, plus free popcorn, cotton candy, regular coffee, and more. They had games and contests for adults & kids - egg throwing, Hot dog eating (with a 5000 baht prize), and the Marine Band played. There were not very many people early in the day, but the grounds were packed by the time we left at about 5:00. They also had face painting, hand stamps, hair decorating (for kids), and people in all kinds of character ourfits. It was interesting and fun for the first time - but I doubt very many of our group would go again next year.
