Year 7 Cross-Curricular Day
Ideas for Redesigning the Blenheim Centre
The objective of the day was to learn about the environment, culture, and what leisure facilities are available in Hounslow and to generate and present ideas for the redesign of the Blenheim Centre.
PC Navdeep Verma, Schools Liaison Officer, gave advice to the students regarding security, CCTV, and ways to avoid littering Hounslow. Seven local councillors and the Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Genevieve Hibbs, visited in the afternoon and judged students’ group presentations.
The students’ designs and presentations were creative and imaginative and highlighted their own ideas of what they would like to see with the space available at the Blenheim Centre.
Madam Mayor stressed how “impressed” she was with the quality of the work and presentations made by the Year 7 students.
