"Starting to solder everything together.  The humbucker coil split is actually pretty simple.  A humbucker is basically two single coil pickups wired together in series but out of phase which cancels out the hum that single coils generate.  If you run a wire from between the two "sides" of the humbucker  to ground, current only runs through one of the two sides of the humbucker before completing the circuit, making it act like a single coil.  The push-pull pot on the tone control allows you to turn this on or off, switching between full humbucker and single coil modes for the bridge pickup."
