Castres Rugby Trip
Fly to Barcelona, drive to Castres for a rugby trip (the scenic route, cough, cough), stopping off in Carcassonne on the way for lunch.
Watched Leinster vs Castres rugby match in the freezing cold, but soon warmed up after with *a few* drinks in C Cafe.
Next morning up bright and early-ish, and hit the road heading to Arfons up in the mountains. After spending about 2 hours getting fires going to heat this freezing house we settled down to a night of board games, French wine and cheese.
Next morning, snowed in! But I was secretly delighted. Would have loved to stay there!
Thanks to the French snow ploughs and a bit of manual labour we hit the road :-( heading towards home.
On the road to Barcelona, we stopped off for lunch in Narbonne. Lovely town. Lovely McDonalds...everywhere else was closed!
Back to the airport in Gerona, for some duty free booze, and home.
