Two used glass shower doors dictated the dimensions of the dehydrators
Clay and Joanna Showalter generously allowed us to put the dehydrators on their sunny back deck, since our yard is pretty shady.
Soaking in the sun -- a 15 degree angle encourages air to rise up along the sloping panels as it heats up.

The peaches looked so good going into the dryer...
... but they came out overly dried and kind of charred.
Apples and parsley were beautifully dried in 34 hours of "partly sunny" weather
