July 24, 2010 - Bix Dancing at the Col Ballroom in Davenport, IA

The day after Korah's 28th birthday, Gunter and Korah met at the Col during the Bix Jazz Festival on July 25, 2008. They celebrated their one year anniversary there on July 25, 2009. They got married 7 days later on August 1, 2009. The Col has a lot of special significance to them so Korah wanted to celebrate her 30th birthday there on July 24, 2010. The live music was wonderful and Korah very much enjoyed her birthday and their two year anniversary of meeting each other.

QC SoDa teaching at Lincoln Park on July 20, 2010

QC SoDa teaching at Lincoln Park, Rock Island before the free Josh Duffy Orchestra concert. The Rock Island Park District puts on the Starlight Review. It is a series of free summer concerts for the community. It's a really great time. Put some of their dates on your calendar for next year and come out and dance with us.

We normally hold our four seasonal dances downstairs in our large ballroom, but we brought the summer dance upstairs. The Fall dance will be downstairs once again. :-)

June 28, 2010, Summer Concert at MAC - Coupe De Ville

During the summer, the Moline Activity Center hosts free summer dances on Monday nights. They are just down the street from QC SoDa so we like to take trips over there to get in some extra dancing. :-)

Dancing Rabbit Eco Village Dance Workshops

Earlier this Spring, QC SoDa took a field trip out to Rutledge, MO to teach two days of workshops at the Dancing Rabbit Eco Village. They are a wonderful group of people. We really enjoyed ourselves. Try visiting them sometime. There is a newly opened B&B called the Milkweed Mercantile.

Where QC Soda had its dances before it moved

On Tuesdays, from September 29 through December 15, 2009, there was swing dancing at the Moline Club. Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced lessons ran from 6:30 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. There was a dance immediately following the lessons. Admission was $6.00.
