(2010.06.28) New Mini-HTPC Build
These photos are of a computer build for a Home Theater PC (HTPC) for my bedroom. Goals were to make it super small, super quiet, run as cool as possible, and use very little power. It came out great! It is very small and runs very nearly silent. The CPU runs at 105 deg F and the system uses 35W when idling and 150 deg F and 60W when running full screen video from Hulu. And, it runs Windows 7 Ultimate very smoothly. I used a Intel Core i3 Clarkdale CPU, because in conjunction with the motherboard H55 chip-set, graphics are provided with no additional components. Only the Clarkdale CPUs support this feature.
