Departing Oswego
Fort Ontario
Enteromg Sodus Bay
Sodus Bay light.
Sodus Bay Yacht Club
Sodus Bay has some very nice residences.
We had a primo location; and it only cost $25 for two nights.
Time to go! Heading for Toronto.
103 nautical miles until the next turn into the entrance to Toronto Harbour.
Looks like a typo. Really deep lake!!
CN Tower was visible for two hours before entering the harboar.
Our Canadian courtesy flag and the yellow "quarantine" flag indicating that we have not yet cleared customs.
We ended up staying here for only one night and then moved to the Inner Harbour's Marina Quay West
Let the visiting begin!! Stan was our first (and always our favorite) Toronto visitor.
Seaweed Zamboni
Great location, huh?
After their orientation, Justin, Daniel and Jacob became official (hat included) crew members.
Captain Justin.
Captain Jacob.
Great food, great company: Joe and Betty join the fun.
Daniel resting up.
Once they saw the sun bathing beauty on the boat in front of us, everyone was taking up the "sport."
Off to Eddie and Mary Lou's.
Luca was CRAZY with excitement.
Balls, kids and swimming all at the same time.
Mary Lou's family
Family resemblence?
....for sure!
Joe
Incredible view as we head our for a little cruise.
Anita and Brian liked this so much that they are joining us in our cruise from Montreal to Quebec City.
The bad weather constantly threatened; lightning and all.
The incredibly good St. Lawrence Market.
We didn't buy anything here.
`
Tall ships everywhere.
The Toronto Paws Place.
Not our fife and drum corps.
Colors are more like the Brits.
With a little French flavor thrown in.
This guy was definitely into the day (July 1 is Canada Day). In the city, at least, there was less of this outward patriotic signs than we are used to seeing in Glen Burnie.
Great show by this cute dog. Their were many agility dogs there.
The scene as we departed for points East.
This is actually the water treatment plant for Toronto.
Heading into Cobourg. A really cool little place.
Very pretty streets in Cobourg.
Our dinner spot the first night: The Oasis.
Very true, as it turns out.
The boardwalk, beach and beach park.
Elvis impersonator.
Surreal view from our boat.
Harbourfest at Cobourg.
Always making friends. This time at the 50's Concert in Cobourg.
Underway again, heading for the Thousand Islands and Kingston. Windy and a little rougher than this pictures shows.
But the stabilizers kept things under control.
It seems to get prettier and prettier the more East we go.
Long day of rocking and rolling; making everyone a little sleepy.
Apparently the wind we are experiencing is not an unusual part of life here.
One of the four shoal towers built to protect Kingston with the city hall in the background.
Fort Henry on the right and another of the shoal towers off of the point with the Military Academy on the left.
Our marina is behind this breakwater.
There has been a steady--and I mean STEADY-- stream of boat visitors checking out Blue Grotto. We are an unusual sight apparently.
Another day, another festival!
Lots of impressive architecture for such a small town. It was once the capital and a hundred years ago was an important port. Now, its more about tourism.
It is important to keep from taking these views each morning for granted. They really are amazing!
