A lot of work went into this vintage kit - circa 1960's or 70's. One of the first things to go was the over sized ax, headlight guards and machine guns. The ax is from Collector's Brass, the headlight guards and air cooled machine gun are from DML's new Half Track kits. The stoawage is from the parts bin and Tamiya cargo truck kit. The jerry cans and their holders are Tasca and Eduard respectively.
The 'telephone' handset is made from bending wire in a kind of figure '8' and filling the open spaces with super glue. The headphones are from the parts bin. I added goggles and chin straps to the helmets. The rifle straps are made from Carnation creamer foil seals.
The rope is from the model ship building section of the hobby shop.
OOPS! I have the tires reversed. This will be corrects easy enoughas the wheels are not glued in place yet.
I should written down the camera settings for this shot. The entire vecile is in focus. Something I would like to achieve on a regular basis.
I replaced the headlight guards with parts from DML's new Half Track kit. I replaced the kit's jerry can parts with Eduard can holders and Tasca cans. The white stars are Archer transfers and the blue registration numbers are printed on decal film.
The strap is thin masking tape. The blanket is Tamiya 2 part putty. Thw boxes are Hudson & Allen.
