The stars are spray stenciled on using Lion Roar templates and gloss white, Tamiya paint. I used my finest point airbrush needle and head for this application. Thin the paint 50/50 and use LOW pressure (10-20psi).
I bought a bunch of Blast Models resin accessories for the M2/M3 half track and mixed and matched for stowage.
The canvas cover frames are just bend brass rod (.02 diameter). Seem like crews found different places to store these frames.
The bumper codes are Archer dry transfers applied with their water transfer media. The media is not meant for piecing together multiple transfers. For that you should try a decal paper like the Testor's product.
Note the US flags on the stowage doors. This was to let the French know they were facing American troops.
The stowage n the fender and rear of the vehicle is a Blast Model offering. They have stowage for both the M2 and M3 Half Tracks, but much of it is interchangeable and usable on the M3 Command Car from Italeri.
I have a little description wrote up about this particular vehicle, but it's rather lengthy. Suffice to say, it's after Kasserine Pass, but before El Guettar. This platoon sufered heavy cassulties, but has re-armed - better than before...
The gun on the left side is the original supplied in he kit. The other two are from Academy Models Machine Gun set. By far the most economical and beautiful set on the market.
The stowage door under the US flag opens. I made a couple of hinges from fine wire and aluminum foil. Very basic, but workable.
The jerry cans are painted the same color as the carrier, but I gloss coat them, and then pastel weather.
