I used Archer dry transfer for the lettering and Lionroar stencils for the stars.
1/35 scale, Tamiya model. Only detail added is the chain and hook on the end of the winch cable.
Using Tamiya weathering pastels gives that faded paint look.
Reflectors and tail lights are first painted silver, and then a drop of Tamiya clear red (or orange) is placed in the circle. I think the effect is rather convincing.
Hard to see, but I used the supplied head lamps, painting the reflector silver, and placing the clear lens over that. Testor's canopy glue is perfect for this, as it dries crystal clear. Note that I mounted the windscreen upside-down. OOPS!
I left the engine covers off to show some of the engine details.
For the dashboard dials the placards, I used Archers set specifically for 2-1/2 ton trucks. the dry transfers are rubbed onto Archers wet transfer film. This is pain staking, but the only way to get them on the dashboard.
Just an underside shot.
