This is our house!! We move in in June. It's outside of city limits, but has houses all around. Kind of a 2 story house, as its situated on that hill.
Our flower garden out front. We're not sure what we want to do with this, but probably want some more color. I'm thinking Texas wildflowers, but some in NC may disagree!
The view from the front door. Looks a lot more country than it actually is! Just past those trees are cows!!! They must be asleep now.
Another view from the front. Some mountains in the background. Not sure if the wind chimes stay, but I love wind chimes in general!
Our living room/kitchen as you enter the house. Its really open and will be great for parties! That's our real estate agent on the left. He's awesome.
Melissa pondering the house. Here we have the dining room and entrance. They all flow together nicely.
We're gonna have so much more space in the kitchen! We're really excited about cooking in here. Plus there's a big island, which is way cool. Lots of cabinets too.
Another view of the kitchen. We even get to keep the appliances, which is huuuge.
Melissa still drawing up the floorplan! This is our living room, which will mainly be a sitting room for the kitchen.
One of the guest bedrooms. The guest bedrooms all have that newer shag carpet which feels comfy.
Guest bathroom that is laid out exactly like our guest bathroom now. Freakily the same even. And we gotta do something with that counter top.
We can't wait to use the back deck! It's bigger than our bedrooms, so we'll have plenty of room for a table, some chairs, maybe even rocking chairs! You can see some houses from here- they all look similar, built around the same time, and kept up nicely.
More of the backyard- awesome yard, but the view is right into our neighbors back porch. I doubt they want to look at us all the time, and we sure don't want to look at them, so the first week we're there, some trees are going up!
More of the backyard- its really, really big. You can't actually tell that from this picture, but it is. Our fence is short, but taller than 4.5 feet. Plus the entire backyard is sloped downhill. I don't think there's a single flat area on it, which coming from West Texas is a very crazy thing! That road is kinda busy, but shouldn't be too bad.
The view from under the patio- not sure what to do with this just yet- though we do want a dog, so the doggy door is good.
More view from out back.
View from the master bedroom. I couldn't figure out the blinds, so you get to peer through them just like you were there!
Another window from the master, this time from the side.
The master bedroom, complete with fan (and hardwoods).
View from master, through bathroom, to closet. I was saying I wanted a closet inside the bathroom, but didn't think we'd get it in our first house!
Shower with jetted tub. Gotta change out that shower head though!
Master bathroom.
Master closet complete with hole in the wall. The hole's for the jetted tub.
View from the closet.
Another shot of the dining room.
The laundry room. This is just off of the kitchen, so we'll probably put some shelves up and kind of have a pantry in here.
Now we head downstairs. This is the other living area, also the room you first walk in from the garage. We have some sweet ideas for it, but don't want to spoil the surprise! We were blown away by this space- its gonna be really cool. Our TV's gonna go down here.
Me measuring for awesomeness. It measured up!
This is staying with the house (we hope!). It's a little red fireplace that is hooked into the gas line.
More of the "family room" downstairs. The darker red flooring heads out to the garage.
One of 2 storage closets downstairs. We can't wait for all this storage!!! Our place is jam packed now as it is.
The downstairs has a family room, 2 storage rooms, a bathroom, and this room- an 11x11 extra room with carpet but no closet. This will be a 2nd guest bedroom, reserved for only the best.
View from the bedroom downstairs. Kind of a "dog's eye view", which is unique.
The bathroom downstairs. Someone's into Sponge Bob! Hmm... don't think we wrote this into the contract!
Melissa loving the downstairs! To your immediate left is the big storage room. Then the bathroom, then the smaller storage room. To your right is the bedroom. In front of you is the family room.
Our 2 car garage. Not many houses in NC have garages, much less 2 car, so we kind of lucked into it. Looks really big to, not sure if its big enough to squeeze in a ping pong table.
We're happy to see the mantle makes a great camera holder!
Signing the contract!!
This is the hospital where Melissa's going to work.
The family practice clinic, where Mel will spend most of her time. That's it from us! Hope you enjoyed the house!
