It was a very busy city as we could tell from the haze in the air.
We docked in Piraeus, Greece.

The city was a mix of old and new. In fact their "new" is still what we consider old.

We ascended the same steps the ancient Greeks used to.
Reconstruction work is consistency ongoing.
Officials were on site that day to see how the building progress was going.
They said that the modern tools were actually LESS precise the the original construction methods.
It is amazing how much detail there was on this huge structure.
Very impressive to see this huge structure on top of the highest point in the area. Quite an engineering feet to move all of the stone.
People stood guard to blow their whistles if you stepped in the work area.
Many of the blocks were still in their original position.
The Parthenon held a 60foot statue of Athena. It was made of marble and plated in gold. It also served as their treasury.

This was the theater of Dionysus
The temple of Zeus. One of the columns fell over.
We don't know what the balloon was for but they had moved it from one area to the next.
The ground had huge areas of marble that you would walk over. It was very smooth and dangerous to walk on.

The gas station was inside the 1st floor of this building. They had very long hoses to fuel cars out on the street.
