Block-in and beginning of background. I forgot to photograph after block-in.
Background development continues. Henceforth, the sequence will appear a bit cool because I neglected to warm up these photos before posting. The final shot is adjusted and appears very close to the painting.
Beginning to define iris, buds and some foliage.
Some more definition in dark.
Begin to build variations of greens, became suspicious that this iris is entirely too close to the center, that a single iris was not going to work.
Continued to add variations and definitions in foiliage
Added a second distant iris in upper right

Added a second player and some more buds. Fuzzy focus--sorry.
Tweaking new additions and darks in foliage.
Finished version. Added some overlaps after a wise eye noticed they were needed.
