Into the Arms of Strangers
The Brotherhood aired the Oscar-winning film, Into the Arms of Strangers, the documentary about the Kindertransport during World War II. Member Esther Starobin, who, as a child, participated in the transport and spent many of the war years with a British family, made a presentation and was available to answer questions. John Wielgosz, whose mother was a nurse in England during WW II, also spoke. Children in Religious School grades 6 -8 attended that morning free of charge.
