Pumphouse
The Victorian Gothic Pumphouse at 3-Mile Lock still stands where it was built in 1883. At one time, it served not only as a public utility facility, but as a social venue also.

The Wetlands area is located just downstream of Pony Pasture and features walking trails, wildlife blinds and excellent opportunities to birdwatch. There is also a shallow sandy beach with flat water. Parking for 7 cars.

Belle Isle
Belle Isle is found directly under the Lee Bridge and may be reached on foot from the northside of the river via the pedestrian bridge suspended under the Lee Bridge. The island is the site of a notorious Civil War prison and the remains of a historic iron foundry are sill visible.
