Terry and Betty Terhark Gift Announcement

The University of Findlay announced that Terry and Betty Terhark have committed $1 million, in conjunction with the Give Voice to Your Values campaign, to help build the future of the University’s College of Business, and Findlay, and create additional scholarship opportunities for Liberty-Benton students.

Fall 2011 Commencement Arch Ceremony

The University’s traditional Arch Ceremony immediately followed commencement at the Griffith Memorial Arch. The Arch is named for Caddie A. Griffith, Class of 1909. She headed the Findlay College department of English in 1914-16 and 1917-18.

Fall 2011 Commencement Ceremony

Approximately 260 degrees were awarded by The University of Findlay during fall commencement ceremonies at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex on campus. Mayor-elect and an alumna of the University, Lydia Mihalik, will give the commencement address. Mihalik graduated from The University of Findlay with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2002. In November, she was elected the city of Findlay’s first female mayor with more than 73 percent of the vote.

Circle K Dance Marathon

The University of Findlay’s Circle K organization hosted a dance marathon on Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex on campus to raise money and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The classes of 1961, 2010 and 2011 collaborated to present the running track in the Student Recreation Center in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex as a class gift.

Homecoming - Parade, Pep Rally, Coronation and Carnival

A brand-new event featured the a parade complete with decorated shopping carts, the coronation of the king and queen, a pep rally, and carnival entertainment. Alumni, students and families enjoyed carnival activities including a mechanical bull, laser tag, train ride, photo booth, ponies, inflatables and carnival foods.
