Know why most of the temple also very narrow very high? They told me that is because if more higher they can go, that means more powerful they are... :D
Bayon (Inside Angkor Thom) Angkor: Ang = King; kor = Country; Thom= Big A lot of local artist will go there and show their work for tourist... You can buy it if you want to keep them as a collection. Banteay Kdei Everyone going to this temple thru the front date... But the driver bring us to the side gate. He said he want to show is this one and the greatest date beside a big tree. This is one of them I saw... A lady in between the tree...
Banteay Kdei A place that destroyed by natural The side gate. Not much people there and it does have a weird feeling... This is not a main entrance, so we have to go for a small "Jungle tracking" before we reach the destination...
Banteay Kdei A place that destroyed by natural
Banteay Kdei A place that destroyed by natural The roof was destroyed by the big tree...
Banteay Kdei A place that destroyed by natural The whole building are covered by this tree... They destroyed the natural and now the natural take back the turn... :)
Banteay Kdei Alamak... I almost can take a picture that exactly same with the post card... But look at this couple... They keep posing there for quite a long time... then follow by another family... Hard to get the stage empty... Btw... The post card did not have the stage... LOL
Angkor Patrimoine This is non edited pictures... Yes... This is the most special SANDSTONE among all the temples... They called the color of the stone as PINK This temple is a little bit far. It required around 45 minutes by motorbike. Erm... Maybe it will be faster if by car? Dunno la...
Angkor Patrimoine This one is diff if compare with others... this did not build up high...
Angkor Patrimoine The wall almost fall down. They are using the wood rack to stop it...
Angkor Patrimoine This is the only thing the temple left...
Angkor Patrimoine I was waiting for a long time before I can get this picture... To make sure no stranger inside the picture... :D
Angkor Patrimoine 2 ponds before it reach the main side... I found that they like to have ponds in front of the temple...
Angkor Patrimoine This is no entrance... I just can capture from outside. Btw... The statue looks new... That is because it is fake. The real one moved to Angkor National Museum... :D
Angkor Patrimoine The back view... Our tour guide reminded us to take the back view because this place looks better as it is not facing to the sun... Good suggestion...
Angkor Patrimoine They were playing Traditional Cambodian Music. You can donate some money or buy their CD to help the folks who hurt by mine.
See the wall... It is almost fall down...
Angkor National Museum No photography allowed in the museum... Hm... dun tell others... LOL I interest about this is because my tour guide told me that the Cambodian used to write down their history at a stone. They write down everything they did. So... With this... People cannot lie for the past... They have a good carving skill... And the Cambodian writing really looks like Jawi mix Thai... LOL
Angkor National Museum The front view of this museum... RM10 per entrance (with discount voucher)
Parklane Hotel We have our lunch at our hotel... Just because of the boss. Their boss is a lady from Singapore who married a Cambodian. She is a friendly person and like to chat with us. We almost chat every morning... I impressed by the chef... The 2 butterflies make the simple fried rice looks diff... :)
Killing Field In Cambodia, you can see a lot of small tower inside any temple. They are not similar like the one we see in Thai temple because this is not for god. Those you see in the picture are Ashes Tower. There is a small door behind the tower to put a small pack of ashes inside. It can use for the whole family... 1, 2 or 3 generation... as long as they like. They can build a new one if they dun want to share. Some are big like a small office? Ya... that is those that rich... They hire a Monk to go there pray for them. Why the size for every of them are diff? Depends on how rich the person is and what are the design they want. The more higher you are will means how rich you are.
Killing Field A Cambodian was hired to kill all the Cambodians last time. Why? Because someone does not like Cambodian and they want all of them disappeared. Who? I forgot... You go and google and see if you can get it. So... This is the place they use to kill all the people and that's why they named it as "Killing Field". Most of them has turned to ashes and dunno where it went but still have some of them left... There is 1 tower in the middle of killing field... They make it transparent... Those bones are not burned... So... you can see it... Scary?
Most of the people there are very poor. It is consider great if they can own a motorbike. See how they really fully utilized their motorbike. Wah... Selling foods la... Sending stock la... Wah... some more can move a fridge. I can see the back tyre is almost flat.
The 2nd famous transport is bicycle. Tourist also can rent a bicycle to travel around. Remember to wear mask. Why? Please look at it carefully... A lot of sands at all along the road. Ok... It is everywhere.
West Baray Some distance from the town. People told me the water is very clean and beautiful. OK. That will be great... Maybe just not for Asian... Or I should say... That is just "so so" for people from Penang. Btw... This is not a sea. This is a lake.
West Baray The people there... Sharing with 1 transport... a bit like 难民营
Angkor Old Market. A very big market. I can see each of the stall also have a lot of stock and they keep their stall to have products as much as possible. Most of them selling similar stuff... All shoppers... You are better get your stuff over here rather than Angkor Night Market. Cause Angkor Night Market's stuff much expensive than the Old Market. Btw... Always remember to bargain. Those normal scarf... They tell you USD4, you can give them USD2 enough. Or if you dun want to bargain... Just walk away and they will give you a very good price.
Angkor Night Market. A market that smaller than Angkor Old Market but the location and decoration are newer than them. Most of the stuff are similar like Angkor Old Market but it does have their product focus. They are more into 925 silver and Woodcraft. The things are expensive than Angkor Old Market and people there seldom want to give you more discount. If you go away? Go la... They dun even call you back. LOL So... The Angkor Old Market is a place like Kek Lok Si Market... The Angkor Night Market is a place like Batu Ferringhi... LOL
