Vasota-Boating

To reach to the base village of Vasota i.e. Met Indavali, one has to cross the back water of Koyana dam (called as Siv Sagar). This boat ride takes 1.5 hrs and is very pleasant. scenic all over, calm and quiet .. truely amazing !!

Shivtharghal Outing

Shivthar Ghal is an area of silent beauty consists of lush green views of trees, mountains, a big waterfall and a river. Its a place where you can enjoy the clam and quite nature and really concentrate. It took almost 12 years to complete Dasbodh as Ramdas Swami dictated it and Kalyan Swami wrote it down. Shivthar Ghal is a place worth to visit and enjoy the quite beauty of the nature and remember the famous saint in Maharashtra - Saint Ramdas and his Dasbodh.

तोरणा, शिवरायांनी जिंकलेला पहिला किल्ला, वयाच्या १६व्या वर्षी. आम्ही ७ जण (सकु,सॅंडी,मनिष, स्वरूप, स्वप्निल,अमित आणि मी) सकाळी स्वारगेटहून निघालो.निघताना पाऊस नव्हता, पण गड चढायला सुरूवात केली अन पाऊस सुरू झाला, वातावरण अचानक बदलले.आधी भुरभुरा मग जोरात पाऊस सुरू झाला.सोबत वारा होताच की.त्यामुळे मजा येत होती.आम्ही गाणी म्हणत,हसत-खेळत,दंगा करत,कधी घसरत गड चढलो.

Visapur

विसापूर.. लोहगडच्या जवळचा किल्ला.. दोन्ही जुळे किल्लेच म्हणा ना हवे तर.. आल्हाददायक वातावरण, रिमझिम पाऊस, पक्ष्यांची किलबिल .. आ हा हा हा. पाऊस कमी झालेने सर्व रस्ते निसरडे झाले होते.. आम्ही सुरवातीस रस्ताच चुकलो, मग एका शेतकरी मामा नी मार्ग दाखविला.. ह्या वेळी प्रथमच आम्ही एका मार्गाने गड चढलो आणि दुसऱ्या मार्गाने उतरलो. येताना मग ई.स.पूर्व २०० सालची 'भजे' ची लेणी ही पाहून झाली.

Rajgad

12 young enthusiasts from JDTCI come together, destination-RAJGAD-50 km SW of Pune. Its raining hard but still the engines vroom and the journey is on. After driving for hour and half they are almost to the base of the village but the bridge to the village is blocked, so some think of going back but few have other ideas. With the help from villagers they find another way to cross the river. They reach village ‘Gunjawane’ to find another stream blocking their way, it’s the first real test of courage but thankfully everyone is through safely. Now the actual climb to the fort starts. It looks a grueling task. After climbing cascades of waterfalls and slippery patches for 2 hours the summit is done. Rajgad has 4 major parts, 3 Machi’s - Padmawati, Suwela, Sanjivani and the Bale Killa. Rajgad has a unique feature called ‘Nedha’ which is a 15-16 feet diameter through hole in a single rock.

सचिन आणि मी, दोघानी ठरवले.. ह्या वीक एन्ड ला भूशी डॅम ला जायचे.. प्रचंड पाऊस आणि अमावस्या.. घरातून नाही म्हणून च सांगितले होते.. तरीही आम्ही दोघे निघालो. सकाळी ८ ते सायंकाळी ४ पर्यंत पाऊस च पाऊस.. त्यामुळे फ़ारसे फोटो पण घेता आले नाहीत. पण मस्त मजा आली.

Lohgad-15July06

Trek to Lohgad. My third trek in succession after Sinhgad and Tikona. This time, we were 13 .. Amit, Sanket, Govind, Amol, Swaroop, Suri, Subandhu, Purendu, Tejas, Ashish, Pratik, Sachin and myself. We started at 8 am from Pune on bikes,reached there at 10:30 AM and then started the trek. We enjoyed all the waterfalls in betwen.

Tikona

Sachin, Sandip and myself planned to go to Tikona on last Sunday. Decided to start at 7:30, but becuase of Footbal match late night, we started at 9:00. The weather was nice, not much rain at the start. We reached there at around 11:00. First, we thought, we'll park our bikes on the top, but later decided to park at the base only. The entire scenario was awesome, full greenery everywhere. There are 4 forts in the viscinity, Tung, Tikona, Logad and Visapur.

It took almost a day to complete the Arch visit. It was too crowdy. Then we went to one planetorium nearby and come back to the arch in the evening. The view of Arch in the evening was equally beautiful with the sun rays falling directly on thw windows.

Chicago Roads

Sears Tower - Tallest building in USA (After WTC). We went on the 102nd floor of it. It took hardly 15 secs to reach there. Its fully closed. So no wind at all !!. When we went there, it was already dark. So we did not enjoy too much. But still the view of Chicago from the top was awesome.

First Outing

This was a good Saturday with the outside temp. touching 85 F. Nice sunny day and our first outing was planned as of a sudden. Sarang and myself were at Walmart. There we met Ritesh and Vijay. Then they called Shankar and he suggested this beautiful place which is very near.. some National Park.
