The beginning of a tour of our neighborhood. Me on a main road near our apartment.
A small park near our house. Not too sure what this thing is?
Cement tubes at the small park.
Our neighborhood is a strange mix of urban & rural. If only you could see the skyscraper less than 200 feet from this. I think the vegetables are daikan - a kind of Japanese radish.
I love these things. Used to have some. Cat ate them.
Our address plate. It reads: A-BI-TA-SHI-ON Katsutadai (Habitation Katsutadai) - Sakura-Shi, Nishi-Shizu.
Inside our apartment - My favorite shot of our bedroom.
Our Bed.
A view from our bed. The sliding doors on the left go to our living room. The door in the corner goes to the dining / kitchen area. The door on the right is a closet. Keri is scared of the door on the right.
Our Hello Kitty light fixture.
The appliance side of the kitchen.
The sink side of the kitchen. On the right is the bathroom.
Our toilet - complete with a sink on top! Reminds me of my days as a construction worker... My uncle Myke wanted to put a toilet / sink in my parents bathroom... My dad: "NOOOO! Toledo water!"
Our Shower / bath. Notice the control pad near the faucet. Why do I need 27 buttons to take a shower?!!
Our living room. The table is called a "Kotatsu." It has a heater built in underneath.
We love our new apartment!
