My car on bricks; yes that is a duck on the side and it crapped on my board I use to get under my car!
My car under too short a tarp. Passenger side. You can see the only door ding on it towards the front tire near the 'Z'. Yup, its is on two blocks but it is very stable all considering.
Picture of the front; see the primered hood and the la bra covering the red front clip I used to replace the broken one from my accident.
rear driver side disc brake/caliper
rear passenger side disc brake, I shoved my spring in there to hold down that piece of plastic which protects the gas tank hose on the other side; it was flying away.
was hoping for a clearer picture but this is a picture of under the rearend where you can see where the gear oil went after the yoke went kaput

another pic of the 10 bolt cover it seems
Inside the 10 bolt of my car
This is where you can see the notches on the carrier case. From what I've seen this isn't what is supposed to happen. I'm thinking that with the loose yoke being pushed back when I was slowing down or driving slow that it caused this damage.

yes this is the rusty 9 bolt count those holes; I drained it in order to make sure everything looked good inside and it does
another picture of the insides of the 9 bolt
beyond proof that it is a 9 bolt

My work surface, Here you can see the 9 bolt with both rotors on and the calipers. The guy who sold it to me cut it out and disconnected the emergency brakes so technically I can hook it up just like this but I really wanted to inspect all the parts and so far the brake/caliper I took off had a damaged rubber o ring. Still looks like it works perfectly but can't be sure.
Here is the rear after a little scraping and me putting on some naval jelly rust dissolver.
Another pic of the rear end but with some naval dissolver applied. It's starting to look pretty good now; put it on a table since the water was filling up the wheelbarrow I was using before.
My car again but in daylight; that is my truck; which became my dad's truck (we're family) after I got the Camaro but as you can see he had a little accident :(
Borg Warner plus a code which I don't know what it means: u25j5?
a picture of the ten bolt on my car in daylight but the traction bar? is blocking the view
Close up of the code but I still can't see the other smaller numbers very well; still need to scrape a little more.
Another picture of my rear driver side disc brake/caliper
Really big close up of Borg Warner logo on the used but to me new 9 bolt rear end
code that is up top on the 9 bolt; don't know what it means either
I had it cleaned pretty good and I thought it was going to rain so I primered the area I had cleaned which was the axle housing; some rust that had hardened was faintly there but with a coat of enamel primer and 1 coat for now of chevy blue I don't think I have to worry about rust for a while. I'll probably kill this rear-end before then and will upgrade later. Plus I plan to save the 10 bolt in case it is re-buildable which I suspect it is after I clean it.
This is the sole remaining reason I haven't finished; this damn brake/caliper. The top caliper bolt is loose but the one at the bottom is hanging tight; I actually removed the spring for the emergency brake to make room for the L key but I still needed a hammer to loosen it. Got tired so I left it there and continued to de-rust. You can barely see the diferential housing or pumpkin but it is discolored because of all the naval dissolve I've applied to it. I don't care how bad it looks as long as the rust is off which means the primer will stick better and the paint will last longer. Yes, there are areas I still have to paint around the axle housing but I need to take that brake/caliper out so I can get access!
The backing plate on my 10 bolt; seems right on to the one on my 9 bolt.
Shot of 9 bolt with brake backing plate; seems right to on with my 10 bolt backing plate if you do a close up.
Caliper (from 9 bolt): rear passenger side, see Number "426" and "133"; seems 53 numbers backwards from the newer one on my camaro; still the same shape.
Caliper (my car, 10 bolt): passenger side rear see "number 426" and "186"; seems close enough
pic of the missing thingamabob on my grand marquis gs
Shows my primered mirror and my black hood without the louvers on there. So my body is still straight but needs a paint job. The only damage that is left from my car accident is the radiator framework on the front that is sort of still bent looking but it's been 'molded' back into its proper location by me and my dad when he used a large steel bar to push/bend it back into its original position. Not much more we could do.
Crappy night shot but shwos my replacement front clip after my wreck and my new primered manual mirrors that replaced my broken power mirror. Figure I'll buy some new powered mirrors in the future.
