Fukutoshin Line Tokyo

These are pictures taken by my husband a few days after the new subway line (Fukutoshin) opened in Tokyo. The pictures are from inside a number of stations on the line as well as areas outside the exits. He bought a day pass for about $7 (¥740) and explored a lot of the areas the line accesses. The pictures are "as is" and not carefully selected for choice shots.

Costco Purchases October 2007

This is a record of items purchased at Costco in Japan. There is a lot more in the way of sweets than usual because we purchased bulk chocolates and cookies to distribute to a large number of students. Such trips occur at between 3 and 4 month intervals for us and can cost between $350-$700 depending on the time of year. These pictures were taken to show students and discuss foreign food with them.
