"Since there seems to be some confusion, I feel I should clarify something: I do remember who is in my family, both extended, and immediate."
Jason Robinson
"Better safe than sorry.

Sister-in-law Ashlee"
Ashlee Chaffee
"Yeah, but I didn't want you to forget your favorite mother-in-law!"
Leane Chaffee
"Yes.  Just find an outside corner in your house somewhere, and sight down a wall.  You will be instantly disappointed.

This is why you always measure lengths/angles (never assume corners are 90* or walls are straight) and always scribe to the wall when something needs to be absolutely flush"

"notice the numbered stairs.  partly for my daughters benefit but also so that we can pre-cut the width of the stair treads and know which one it goes with.

Annoying side note #18923487 about installing stairs... the drywall is not apparently the same size across for each tread.  Stupid lazy construction workers that made the walls not plumb!  gahh."

"i just used a wet rag to wipe down 1/2 of the hallway so you can see the difference."

"this is how much dust is kicked up just from sanding the steps.  EVERYTHING upstairs is covered in a thick layer of dust.  Especially the master bedroom, because we have an air return there and that return does not have a filter (non-standard size.... curse you corry barton)."

"Don't worry, hardwood flooring is hideously expensive (from $4 / foot ^2) and paying for installation ($2 / ft^2) bumps up the price even more.  We paid around $7k for just the wood, and a compressor + floor nailer.  No labor.  Pretty expensive.  But yes, it looks fantastic..... eventually.  Crazy how long it takes to do a floor."

"sadly my daughter figured out how to use it, so she likes to run over to it, hit the foot pedal and make the lid go up.  and then play with things inside it.  so she had a few hand slaps and now she knows that "el bote de basura está muy sucio, no lo toques!""
Jason Robinson
"Wow, that looks really good! Giving me ideas..."

"I have the same trash can in my kitchen. ;-)"

"5 steps done.  and .... still 8 treads and 9 risers to go."
Jason Robinson
"I still can't believe I got that close.  Talk about trying my patience.  I had to move 1 limb at a time, slowly.... really slowly."
