BudgetLA - Feb. 19, 2010
BudgetLA - The BudgetLA Community met with Deputy Mayor Larry Frank on Friday, February 19, 2010, to present the DONE reorg plan. This plan was the result of many BudgetLA sessions, attended by hundreds of people, representing 75 of the 90 certified neighborhood councils. The discussion centered around the future of the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the Neighborhood Council system.
As the City of LA goes through turbulence of the Budget Crisis, it is a tremendous victory for the neighborhood council advocates to be at the table, participating in the rebuilding of a City that Works!
