The 4B Tatitos line up... where's Jeff?
Brian raced 4As. He mis-clipped on the start, and had to reel in a dozen places in order to finish third.
Sophia continues to improve, getting us onto the podium with 3rd in the W4 race.
Brian rarely removes his helmet. We brought three canines for the day, and despite some trouble with peanut butter, it went smoothly enough.
Susan was laughing and waving and talking for the entire race. She doesn't yet know that it's supposed to hurt!
Paige rode the pink bike, and wasn't too keen on the photos.
Sophia ponders doubling into the men's 4B race.
Dan practices crashing into people and dogs.
The weather was optimal for wool.
Tim's sand pit form was rather good; I wish I'd captured it on film. Here he is chanting good tidings for the W4s.
Here are Liz, Paige, and Susan chasing down Half Acre Julie, whose pink Chris King hubs sound like bees.
Dan got a terrible start, but Eric and Joe Kallo are looking good here.
IIT Grant crushed the 4Bs on his single speed mountain bike and tree trunk legs.
Sophia would eventually be passed by the woman in the pink jersey here (the ultimate winner) but she's looking good on the approach to the double barrier run up.
Her lift is nice and secure and low and pretty fast!
Liz is shown after dropping a couple of women on the paved back stretch.
Paige and Susan are still chasing after Julie...
You can tell Paige ran cross country. Her hill form is excellent.
I think our women's team had the narrowest bars in the race at 35-38cm.
