Vikki asks, "where are you taking me?"
Down to First Lutheran in Leechburg for the Blessing of the Animals™ day. Here, Becky has brought her pony, Princess.
What's amazing is that princess is larger than she seems in real life, in real life.
I has a flavor.
Next up is a smaller Schnauzer puppeh.
Where are you taking me mom?
"And I shall call you, snack"
I'm not sure about this "snack" business.
I think I'll just hide under this chair until it all passes over.
I think this is my favorite of the bunch.
Vikki isn't sure what to make of the whole thing.
"awww man, there's some great 'crete here." So everything is A-OK.
Pastor Erik brought over one of the little animals they have roaming around their house. I forget if this one is "Scooter", "Fluff", or "Rebecca Lynn".
Awwwww
As folks know, I love photographing the photographers, even when they try to hide. i'm still saving up for one of those 70-200 f/2.8 IS G VR XRAY lenses. I think Tokina makes them.
Everybody loves Vikki. Everybody.
Next to arrive was Eddie.
And Eddie's people. There's no family resemblance here. No, not at all.
Aren't I cute?
Janis brought little Angelina. (We think that's her name. Princess just called her "morsel")
Pastor Amy lays down the ground rules. No biting, no scratching. Barfing is verboten. And then she started reading the rules the animals should follow.
I like this one too.
"oh, all right. I'll just stay here and be cute"
"Is it time yet?"
"Wow, what's that big eye staring at me?"
Alright, it's Blessing Time™.
First there's princess.
Then Vikki got brave.
I think I'll climb a little bit.
Why yes, climbing has been achieved.
But we now know who's boss.
Next up is Snack.
And then morsel. She didn't want to stray too far from her comfy bag.
Come here Eddie!
"Don't wanna"
Pastor Amy demonstrates the technique used to gather the youth for the Children's Sermon. Kids under 5 actually really like MilkBones™. Plus it keeps their teeth clean and healthy.
The Durkin's guinea pig. Princess named this one "Hors d'œuvre" Who knew that Princess spoke French.
Which under Pastor Amy's touch, turns a different color!
Mine. All Mine.
Folks lining up for a group picture. Here Vikki and morsel commiserate.
"Why yes, I realize that I am cute."
Parade of cuteness. Little Hors d'œuvre has reverted to his previous color.
Everyone loves Vikki, even if they can't talk.
"hey whatcha doon over there huh huh whatcha doon huh?"
Princess contemplates a sneeze.
Eddie is Eddie.
"I have a puppy gun"
"I shall foil your puppy gun with fingers to the nosicle"
"awwww... but there's snackage over there..."
You still pointing that thing at me?
BeccaLynn demonstrates early band conducting skills. Purchase of the John Philip Sousa Drum Activity Center™ is now imperative.
"Mine Kitty"
"Mine Jacket"
"Mine Becca"
"ok, mine too"
Princess goes in search of whatever it is that ponies go in search of.
Meeting of the mines.
"Mine snack. Kind of chewy."
In the meantime, I'll just try to stick my arm up Daddy's nose. Again.
(sings) "just put one foot in front of the other"
I must say, Pastors Amy and Erik are doomed.
And as always, Vikki gets the last word. Or at least the last shedding.
