Switzerland National Day and Thursday

The Swiss all have this day off. We went up the mountain again and watched the fireworks. Amazing!

Switzerland Monday and Tuesday

I went back to the municipal garden (passionfruit, toucan) and saw a few swans downtown. Also, each summer they set up this diving platform in different spots. You don't have to sign up or anything - just swim out and climb up. Crazy, huh?

Switzerland Sunday Bern Capital of CH

These are pictures from Bern, the capital of Switzerland. The river is the River Aar and people swim in it. It's crazy! The bears are the mascot of the city. The guy that founded the city killed a bear in the woods and named the city after it (Bern = bear in German).

These are pictures we took in the awesome medieval town on Basel - on the border of Switzerland, France, and Germany. They say that you can see all three from a church plaza, including the Black Forest of Germany.
