"Yeah I'll have to try one out and see if I like it. Thanks for the insight !"
Michelle Lambert
"They're great, at least around here (Victoria, BC) - can certainly ride a lot more than i could on my old 26" wheels.. Really tight corners can be a bit more work with some 29ers, but i've yet to hit anything my RIP9 couldn't handle... Find out who has demo bikes near ya, look for Niner or Specialized dealers, and try taking a couple out - i'm sure you'll see the difference immediately. =)"

"Yeah that's cool! Rockface drop sounds insane! I have not made the jump to a 29er but I'm sure it gives you much more control on these types of trails. Rocks, roots, ruts what have you. I just don't know how a 29er would do on narrow tight singletrack."

"Should say "3' rockface drop""
Dave Shishkoff
"heh - it's funny, don't even really notice them any more! 29er wheels and low tire pressure really make them less of a concern as well. ;)

I should have taken a pic of the rockface that leads to that - it's nearly a 3's rockface that drops you to where they are, and you gotta make a 90 degree turn to continue down. Not for the faint of heart!"
