From the 2010 Manifesto:The freedom of sexual expression, the variety of physical and sexual manifestations and practices, the multiplicity of personal and collective identities made through self-definition should become and will become a part of the Croatian reality.To fight for gender freedom, the right of every person to express their gender and their body in a way they themselves have chosen, through femininity, androginy, masculinity, hybridity, non-expressiveness and gender contradictory – means to fight for freedom as a supreme value that belongs to every individual. Zagreb Pride is standing daily and actively against every kind of limitation and inhibition considering our bodies and the multitude of our genders.In Croatia the only place where people can be free and freed genderwise is the LGBTIQ Pride March. We, in Zagreb Pride, consider every individual to have the right to define one's own personal identity, to publicly express it and expect society to respect and accept it."

Croatian President Ivo Josipovic received the committee in charge of organising Zagreb Pride 2010. Committee members notified the president about preparations for the Pride rally, the president's public relations office said in a statement.

Mame u Mami

"Moms at Mama" are discussion group that was originally prompted by the need of the LGBTIQ community, especially younger gays and lesbians and their parents. Parents who have accepted and embraced their children's sexual identities are also in the spotlight, unlike many who psychologically or physically harm their gay and lesbian children, throw them out of their homes, and withhold financial and emotional support. With these positive examples, which are still rare unfortunately, we aim to encourage the LGBTIQ community whose parents and friends are “associated” members. "Moms at Mama” discussions are usually closed for the media.

From the 2009 Manifesto: "We - LGBTIQ persons consider Zagreb to be our city, a place in which we live and want to live and participate in all forms of social life. That is why we have taken part in the Pride Rally for the last eights year in a row. Zagreb Pride has become a vital part of Zagreb, but Zagreb has not completely become the open city that we want to build together with all our fellow citizens. By participating, we are building a better and a more just society. We build together Zagreb as a more open city."

Povorka ponosa Zagreb Pride 2008 - "Imaš hrabrosti"

The theme of Pride, held under the slogan "You Have the Courage," is the strength that arises from the individual and the community. Year before this Pride, during the march, the rights to life and existence were seriously violated. Throughout the entire year, several persons have been assaulted, beaten up or molested in the streets of Zagreb and other Croatian cities merely because they have the courage to say who they are and show who they love. In the year 2008, under our flag of Pride, we spoke out about all those individuals, gays, lesbians, bisexual, transgender, transexual, intersexual and queer persons, their friends, their mothers and fathers, and families and their children, because the strength of togetherness is a way to fight against all forms of discrimination.

Povorka ponosa Zagreb Pride 2007 - "Svi na Pride, sve na Pride"

Pride rally 2007 was held. The visibility of LGBTIQ persons and the symbolic “takeover” of public spaces was the topic of 2007 Pride. That topic has produced this year’s slogan of the event – “All to the Pride! Everybody to the Pride!” The organizers believe that visibility in the public space is the decisive moment of empowerment of LGBTIQ population, sending clear and symbolic message of its existence and transparently presenting their needs and advocating their rights. At the same time, a message of tolerance, respect for diversity, mutual respect and recognition is sent.

Internacionala Pride 2006, Zagreb - "Živjeti slobodno"

The First Eastern European Pride, called The Internationale Pride, was organized to affirm the right to freedom of assembly in Croatia and other Eastern European states, to promote LGBTIQ rights in the region, and to encourage organization of Pride events in areas lacking them. This was also fifth Croatian and fifth Zagreb pride. The international event was held in Zagreb and brought together representatives of those Eastern European and Southeastern European countries where the sociopolitical climate is not ripe for the organization of Prides, or where such events are expressly forbidden by the authorities. From 13 countries only Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and Latvia have been organizing Prides, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Albania, Slovakia and Lithuania have never had Prides before. The attempt to organize such an event in Belgrade, Serbia in 2001, ended in a bloody showdown.

The fourth Pride in 2005 was organized by a femminist group Epikriza, and it promoted a registered partnership law proposed by two members of Croatian parliamen. It was the first and only Pride rally not organized by LGBT movement. At the beginning of June, most prominent LGBTIQ group Iskorak, which has been that year's logistic support, announced that its activists would not organize Pride before the summer break, also stating that the Pride march was irritating citizens of Zagreb by blocking the public transport for a few minutes, and that Pride was at that time useless to the LGBTIQ community in Croatia. With just a few weeks of preparations an informal group Epikriza organized a small march in July with about 100 people and without any program.

Povorka ponosa Zagreb Pride 2004 - "Vive la difference"

Again under heavy police protection, in 2004 the Pride parade marched through the streets of downtown Zagreb. The parade lasted about half an hour, after which the participants spoke against homophobia and intolerance of the Catholic Church and other denominations in Croatia. Another special focus was transphobia within gay and lesbian community, as well as in the rest of society. Organizers stood for same-sex marriages and adoption. The establishment of advisory centers was announced, to work on the prevention of AIDS; the participants promoted the use of condoms to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

Povorka ponosa Zagreb Pride 2003 - "Opet ponosno"

Between 200 and 300 participants of the Zagreb Pride gay parade gathered on Zrinjevac again and proceeded, with stronger police protection than the first year. The participants in the parade yelled "Gay is OK" (that was the most famous Croatian and Serbian Pride slogan) and "Love is Love" - the title of TV LGBT rights advertising campaign by Lesbian organization Rijeka - LORI, that was banned by Croatian Radiotelevision in 2002, that is also a popular slogan of Croatian LGBTIQ movement. Zagreb Pride 2003 called for new LGB rights legislation.

Povorka ponosa Gay Pride Zagreb 2002 - "Iskorak KONTRA predrasuda"

29 June 2002, the first LGBT Pride rally , was held in Zagreb’s park Zrinjevac. Gay Pride Zagreb 2002 was entitled "Iskorak KONTRA predrasuda" (Coming out against prejudice). As the gathering progressed, homophobic opponents to Gay Pride Zagreb rallied at the western side of Zrinjevac Park, yelling "Go to Serbia", "Kill the Serb", "Fags to concentration camps", "Heil Hitler", "Sieg heil", "Die", and "We are Aryan", and then invoked the name of Franjo Tuđman. Some of them tried to jump over the iron fence put up at Zrinjevac Park, but were prevented from doing so. Throughout the gathering the police used video cameras to record it. As the gathering was coming to an end, tear gas was thrown at the Pride crowd assembled at Zrinjevac.
