That is the island in Terry Lake in the distance. The black spots are heron nests. They came back 3 weeks ago ... when I was wearing shorts!

Now on 18 April - the 2009 Colorado Blizzard - despite the roads to the north of us being closed and Denver shovelling 18 inches of snow - this was all we got. Estes Park got 3 feet!
