Shuttle Endeavor flyover
Prior to landing at LAX and proceeding to the Science Center, the Space Shuttle Endeavor on the back of a 747, made a tour of California. As the plane flew over the Queen Mary, and Iowa, the pilot gently altered the course for the large crowd waiting on the overlook. Though the distant photos show the haze of the day, the close-ups are genuinely quite clear.
