Pulling out of Salida heading up to the mountains
The higher we went up the more snow we started to see.
Beaver dams
It was a bit chilly up here
4 amigos shivering
For the wives here are few homes that we picked for you to purchase
Oops hello John
Where do we go next
This is the sign in the toliet... I wonder why they would say this?
See the sign over the toliet
Oh no Kem is now driving.... watch out what does 4 wheel drive mean? Aren't there 4 wheels already on the jeep?
This is a reservoir where we stopped and had lunch
Let's start preparing our sandwiches.
Yum this looks good and it was
Alan thinking of what to do next, maybe just eat my food
Kem what are you doing?
Mr. Gray squirrel. Doesn't look like anything we have in Texas
He loves the chips that I gave him
He finally heads up a tree to get away from the big blue birds
Big blue birds, they enjoyed the chips and bread as well.
Ducks taking it easy
Beautiful mountains
Here we are arriving at the Continental Divide
Heading to Monarch Pass
We are not going to wait on the slow trucks even if the engine light is on...we are pressing on
Ken throwing snowballs at our jeep...childish
Heading further up another road to North Fork Lake
This route was really rough
Thanks for the signs so we knew which way to go.
Once we arrived at the reservoir it was well worth the rough rode. This was a beautiful and peaceful place.
We were the only ones up here.
Don't fall in Imrie. He was looking for more GOLD.
Crews just excited to be on another trip
We stopped along the road to see an old abandoned cabin and they left Crews in the back seat.
