Swakopmund, Namibia (Africa) 4X4 Dune trip

A trip with some members from the Namib Desert 4x4 Club through the dunes between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, Namibia. This dune system is a fantastic place to 4x4 and has some huge dunes. Similair to Lancelin but BIGGER.

Uluru & Kings Canyon 4X4 trip

Our trip to Uluru and Kings Canyon was a great trip with some very wet and muddy gravel roads. We did the Kings Canyon walks, climbed Uluru (Ayres Rock) and also walked the Olgas. Was a fantastic trip :)

Lake Junaluska, North Carolina

From Memphis, we went east to North Carolina and stayed at out friends house, a fantastic 3 storey log cabin on the side of a hill overlooking Lake Junaluska. It had snowed a few days earlier so Gabby and Jake saw snow for the first time.

After New Orleans, we drove north to Memphis, Tennessee where we found out Darls was a closet Elvis fan. We checked into a Hotel with a lobby full of Elvis memorabilia and a guitar shaped pool (as used in many movies)

Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade

Cake Boss

We just "had' to go th the Cake Boss - Carlos Bakery - in Hoboken, New Jersey. We caught the subway under the Hidson River and walked to their store. Queued up for over an hour just to buy some cakes. But, they are a big celebrity TV show over here, Darls and Gabby cannot get enough of them.

Jakes Football Debut

Jake played in his first match, he only just managed to meet the weigh in limit of 105lb, he was 104.7 and that was only because he didn't eat breakfast and had not drunk any water in the morning. He started as Centre but also played in defence - as the heaviest player on the field I am not suprised!

Our new Quantum

Here was our first look of our new Quantum "super camper". I got to see it before it was to be loaded on a truck and sent to Perth to be stored at home for the next 6 months while we are in the USA.
