The Resurrection of Tony Boy II
This album is dedicated to the adventures of rescuing this wonderful little airplane from the clutches of Mother Nature. "Tony Boy II" is an RV-3B that was built by Tony Spicer and named after the P-51 Mustang that his father flew in World War II (which was named after him, of course!) Insurance totalled it out after the F1 tornado hit the Sun n Fun grounds on March 31, 2011, and Tony didn't have the heart to rebuild it. He bought a flying RV-4 to replace it and stay on schedule as part of the great airshow team, TeamRV. Not content to see this great little plane fade away, Ben Krotje and I bought it from the insurance company with Tony's blessing. This photo album is here to share our progress with you as we return Tony Boy II back to flight status.
