"This is Manus Product joint Bond 75 spec."

"The structural Insulated Panel are 17" thick and miter at the factory with a CNC machine (Hundergger SPM ) and seal with R-guard Cat 5."

"Murus produce a jumbo panel of 17" thick 9' wide and 24' long. The panel below grade are pressure treated and installed horizontally. The panel above grade are installed vertically reducing the number of joint. All joint are cover with R-guard - Joint Seam Filler."

"The interior footing is wider to received the rim jts. and the fl. jts. of the foundation floor."

"Wood foundation made with pressure treated lumber. The treatment method comply with the American Wood Preservative Association  (AWPA) and the Southern Pine Council Pine Council - Kiln - dried - ACQ Type B.
The walls are 17" thick and super light. The wood footing are split to break the thermal bridge. Filled the gap with froth-pak (foam on foam connection)."

"This is the vertical insulated wall solution at the garage door. This is a lot more difficult to build, with durt, Geofoam, and the vapor barrier. It is quicker and easier to add the insulation horizontally. The surface under the foundation is flat since the garage floor is made of wood and do not require back fill for a concrete slab. If thermal mass is needed it will be in a gravel form (no concrete is used in this project)."

"Add a 15 mil vapor barrier on top of the Geofoam all the way down to the edge of the trench."

"Universal Foam Products
EPS 29   12" Geofoam below the foundation $5,072.80 for R=60"

"The foundation surface is covered with 4"thick  of 3/4" diameter gravel and on top a 1" thick of 3/8" diameter gravel.  An area of 32' x 32' of  Geofoam is install flat to the surface  and an additional of 8' x 32' of Geofoam is install on the driveway. It will be easier to install the insulation in a soft slope then vertical down in front of the garage door. In the location of this project the frost can reach  6' below the surface.
The walls are sealed to the Geofoam with a spray foam from Froth-Pack (600 Kit). The edge of the Geofoam is cut at 45 degrees and glued to the walls to improve the drainage."

"The excavation is preparing the site to received an artifact. Remove the trees, first and second cuts (16' lenghts) are pill at the sidewalk; third and fourth cuts (4' lenghts) are pill at the south end of the site and chip the rest.
Remove the top soil from the driveway and the foundation area and pill at the south end of the site.
Excavate the area of the foundation in a flat surface, add trench 2' below the foundation flat area. The trench is pitch toward the south-west at a slope of 1/4" to 12 for drainage."

"12" EPS 29 Geofoam is R=60. The Geofoam is an insulation apply on the ground and fabricated in block of 36" x 48" x 192". Each block is cut in factory to 12" x 48" x 192" (or less if needed)."

"The west and the north side are densely planted with evergreen tree to reduce strong and cold winter wind. The south side is planted with large  leaves trees blocking the mid-day summer sun. On the south-west side and east side open in the tree plantation are made to allowed natural breeze in the house."

"The structural insulated panel (SIP) are pre-cut with an exterior rough opening smaller on the outside then the inside to cover the frame of the window. Improving the overall energy performance of the wall assembly."
Denis R. Ouimette
"All operable windows are opening to the inside allowing access to the operable shutter and the window flower box."
Denis R. Ouimette
"Wall framing: Inspired by the balloon framing the  floor joists are exposed and can be installed at various elevation. The walls with cavity are open from foundation to roof and carry all systems: electrical, plumbing, radiant heat, etc."
